I installed mine from the bottom. I used the mounts from the rottiserie bolted to my front bumper mounts to pick up the car. I used a cherry picker To lift the front, then put jack stands under the frame rails. Then I connected the picker to the motor. I rolled the motor and tranny under the car with a atv jack and a floor jack under the tranny.
