The proper part number is there.. 2863216.
It should have a thermostat clutch as well the 216 attaches to..

That is what my former '69 Charger 500 440 4speed car had.... Not sure if the clutch is the 070 version...

I think what the OP is asking is; If the 216 is the "proper" fan, why is it not shown for his specific application?

Could be a mistake in the parts book, they are not uncommon. Could also be that the 216, is not the "proper" fan, the 215 is. IMO, other info posted above show that as a strong possibility.
