I've got a head scratcher and figured I could get some answers here. I am working on a 1969 Dodge Charger 500 with a 440 and the A34 Super Track Pak 4spd and 4.10 Dana rear end.

I am trying to figure out what is the correct fan for this application. So I looked in the 1969 Chrysler Parts Catalog and from what I'm reading, it should be part # 2863215, which uses the 2806070 fan clutch. So we browse eBay and a few other places and decided to call Tony from Tony's Parts. He said that it should have the 2863216 fan. So I looked in the parts catalog again and the "216" fan shows that it was used in the 383 and 440 cars w/ A/C. He seemed pretty confident that the 216 was correct.

Now, no disrespect to Tony at all... because I know that he REALLY knows his stuff and is a numbers kind of guy, but the book is telling me it should be the "215" fan. I don't know if I'm reading something wrong or maybe it was something wrong in the book.

Just for the heck of it, I looked in the 1970-71 Chrysler Parts Catalog and if the Charger was a '70 with the same application, it looks like the "216" fan would be correct. Attached below are the 1969 and 1970-71 parts catalog pages. Please help me figure out which is correct for a 1969 Charger 500 440 w/ the A34 axle package. Thank you for your help and advice!!!
