I have never run more than 30lb in any of my mopar combo's. My indy max block /440-1 engine runs 24 now after I cracked all of the mains at 30lbs in the 572 head engine. I also have never had a head gasket issue. If you think you will just get a set of tool steel studs and use copper with o-rings and receiver grooves no reason to go 1/2" nor is there enough room between the ports. Do not create a problem trying to fix one you do not have.
