Are you sure the fuel system is adequate for E85?

If you can't jet the carb. up enough(fatter) to slow the car down it is probally the fuel system. Or maybe it is to fat now I would try jetting it up two jet sizes and see what happens on the MPH If the car picks up all the way down the track your on the right track, if it slows down all the way down the track it is to fat now I switch to E 85 several years back and dyno tested two different carbs, two gas and one E85, the E85 carb was real sensitive to the jetting on the dyno, one jet size either way made a measureable difference, it like 91 in the front with a power valve and 101 in the rear That was at 4300 Ft. in Klamath, OR, it came with 93 and 103 I need to jet it up some more now that the motor is in the car, I put it back to 93/103 so far BTW, the E85 I had done the tuning with ended up testing to be winter mix E75, not E85 Good luck, let us know what you find
