I would never worry about lack of skills. This is the first car I ever laid a hand on in doing bodywork and paint. It didn't come out perfect and there was no one to teach me, I learned it as I went. Oh yeah it was a 1 of 99 Hemi GTX. Just jump in and do it. And screw anyone that criticizes (non productive criticism). I also could care less about gender, colour or anything else, if a person is a car nut, I generally like them and don't see anything else.
