I put the smaller Voodoo cam 251/259@050 - 566/586 lift in a 2 different motors .
1st was my 440 , 68 Satellite , made 390/95 RWHP through a 5100 stall auto. Never ran before pulling it out . Very noisey tough sound through 3" pipes and hooker muffs . WAY Louder than the 509 hydraulic before it .
2nd was a 510 wedge(69 Roadrunner) , made 430 RWHP through a 4400 stall auto , went 11.18ish , 121-2MPH if I remember . Had TTI headers , Eddy heads prepped by Dwayne Porter originally I think . Car sounded great mostly due to the exhaust duration IMO .Customer didn't want any more cam .
Cant imagine the next size up being worse
Headers and head flow will be the biggest issues .
The 440 had maxed flow out , put cnc'd heads with different cam ( 258/258 540/540 lift) and gained 30+ RWHP
The 510 had hit max flow and you could not richen it up further - it did have a 6 pack with adjustable jetting plates on the outers
Both heads had stock intake port size
