For the third time the overdrive in my early 04 48RE trans 4x4 went out. Had it up on a rack and it looks like I have fluid leaking out of the unit on the top, can't see where it is coming from. Each time my trans guy has me take the entire trans out, I am done doing that so I looked online and found out that the unit should be able to be removed without the trans coming out. Anyone do this and is there a better unit sold that can be bolted in? I also read that the mount is weak and there is a stronger mount made, anyone use one? I am getting close to buying an Alison conversion...
