Too many grumpies on here that need another coffee.
Anyway. Your question is a bit confusing. WHat is hitting what? On my Challenger I had a higher carb than stock by a couple inches with a 3 piece kickdown linkage and HP exhaust maniflods and I don't ever recall a problem with clearances. I take it you have a 1 piece rod from the carb to the trans by the problems you have but just try to be a bit more specific as to what is hitting and exactly where.
Thanks, and good luck.

Don.

I have a stock intake manifold. The rod that goes straight down is hitting the exhast manifold flange where the exhaust pipe connects, It is not hitting the firewall.

Do you have the CORRECT exh manifold on the car ???

I have the high rise exhaust manifolds that were manufactured in '68.

What is the part number on the manifold ?

You either have the wrong manifold or the linkage on incorrectly , if they are the right manifolds the linkage rod will not hit it .
