Like Al said I like to go very shallow too but we have a couple dragsters at PRP doing something that is kinda stirring the pot some. Door cars are always held in the box while a dragster burn and coast thru the line. We are then told to start our procedure as the dragster backs up. Well they are slowly backing thru the second staging bulb and just backing till the second stage bulb turn off. The second a door car lights the first bulb they quickly roll the one inch into full stage. By staging rules its legal as they are going forward the last 1 inch. The procedure kinda rushes the door car to roll in a little quicker than they planned to. Legal yes, but when I race these dragsters in the near future the tables will be turned some. One of the racers is a member here now in a chevy powered dragster. As a racer I lost respect for HER.
