It may just be running very cool most of the time and getting up to normal temps when your gauge goes up. Check the actual temps before spending money on parts is my moto. Get a real temp gauge(non electric) and check it out or use a cooking thermometer to check temps at the radiator and compare them to the needle position on you gauge.




Best to see exactly what's going on before spending a bunch of money when there may not be a problem at all
