Get the 727 hand book Cope helped write it.
I used it and all the parts from cope to build a nice street strip trans.
Cope rebuild kit red alto clutches and koleen steels.
billet servos
tf2 or manual valve body
4.2 lever with heavy duty strut
red lined bands
steel planetary
pump modifications done at home per the hand book.
6000 Rpm Governor if using auto shift .
put the the money into the parts and build yourself 727 easy to do.
this is what i did and then there is my friend has a bone stock trans
behind a blown 440 with just a manual valve body for 200 bucks and the trans has held up with street and strip driving so far 10 plus years.
a good trans to start with is key .
