Another question?? How does this carrier adjust?? I saw no provision for that. I also saw no shims either. It looks like this rear was just plopped in.

The 8.75, 8.25 and others have the bearing adjuster plates to move it back and forth. Im thinking there has to be shims that are utilized and this rear just didnt need any, I guess Thanks for your quick answers

This rear has a 3.54 gear and has a clutch pack, but the axel slips with about 10# of torque. I thought it was a open rear until I saw the clutch packs.

Whats involved in fixing that?? Thanks mike


All of the original OEM Dana 60 I've seen had shims on the pinion and carrier, none of them had adjusters like the modern Mopar corporate rear ends have As far as fixing the posi units DR DIff has what you need, I believe At least he did for what I needed earlier this year to rebuild one and convert it from 18 spline to 35 spline, axles, posi clutch and side gear kit
