....using 10w30 on the threads, and under the bolt flange? Edelbrock's torque spec for my Performer RPM's bolted to a stock block. Just wondering if anyone was using a different value...and WHY? Finally getting some time to screw my 440 back together...and get it dynoed at St. Clair Engine,in Armada. Any "educated" guesses on HP..and torque? The block is a .045 over 440. Newly cnc-ported RPM's by Jeff@Modern,which flow 316cfm @.600 on the intake,220cfm on the exhaust,221cfm at mid-lift(.300)160cfm on the exhaust. The cam is a Dwayne Porter-speced Comp SQ solid flat tappet. Specs are 262/266 @ .050 duration...579/585 lift, ground on a 104 LSA,and degreed to 105. Using 1.6 Crane rockers, lift is approx. .594/.600,deducting .020 lash settings. I will be gasket-matching my Mopar M-1 single plane intake,to match the larger intake windows on the heads. Carburetor is a Biggs 950HP,headers are 2" TTI's. Mopar Performance electronic distributor(modified for full mechanical)and a MSD 6AL box. Thanks in advance for your responses! BTW..the motor will be going into this old green car! Randy B.
