hi
what exactly is the problem ?

not shifting ?

what gear not working ?

The problem is when it is cold the transmission shifts 1st to 2nd to 3rd alright. As the transmission warms up more the 904 will hang up on 3rd gear the way it seems.

So, when I come to a stop after driving a few miles the transmission feels like it is still in 3rd gear. I can push down on the accelerator and it will stay in 3rd the whole time unless it is manually shifted. I can repeat this process with the same results.

The other thing is I can pull off in a parking lot for a few minutes it will start to shift automatically again until I come to a stop then will hang up in 3rd gear. But, even when it does shift it is shifting late. For example under light throttle I am not shifting out of 1st gear until at least 25-30 mph. I did try to adjust the kickdown linkage with no change in results.

A few things to keep in mind here. The builder installed a low gearset, TF1 shift kit, on top of the master rebuild kit and I think Sonnax kit already so we are back to square one here as he was even stumped himself because this thing is being a PITA. I read there is some additive that can help with this issue or there is some trick you drive 20 mph then slam it into a park which I don't think is a good idea. Oh yeah, the torque converter is new and a PTC unit.

Any other thoughts here. Also, the trans builder is a sponsor here and he is primarily and Mopar transmissions is area of expertise. I will try to post a video later.
