I had the original 904 trans rebuilt awhile ago. The case was stained and I told the shop I wanted to get it as clean as possible. Well, they ended up wire wheeling the case. I got it home and spraying it with Eastwood Alumablast.(yes, it was a mistake)

I'm going to strip the paint off of the case but it will still be somewhat polished under there. I thought about having it soda blasted to bring back the "as cast" appearance. I don't want to risk using something that could get inside and do damage. What will baking soda do to a trans if a little gets inside?

Any opinions on this? Thanks
