Here is the pic of dog leg cut off from tailshaft. When I pushed out pin to replace o ring, I pushed it out past tranny pan rail lip. It would not push back......like there was a stop preventing it. So I removed pressure on pivot pin by backing off band adjustment nut. Then it pushed right back into place.
