Early B's are really tight when it comes to radiator/fan clearance when compared with later B/E bodies.
So waht y'all saying is the Jag clutch is thinner?

Not thinner. It has a shorter shaft. From where it bolts to the water pump to the face of the clutch is 2.67". Put another way, place it on a table facing up, it is 2.67" tall.
