Trying to ID my Trans in my 63 Polara, picture attached of ID number

I think it is a 1964 trans, just really want to make sure it is a Pushbutton 727 and not a column/console unit

I am having some trouble getting all the forward and reverse gears to work properly

I can adjust to so that the forward gears are fine, but then it doesn't fell like reverse is fully engaged

Is the Rooster Comb different for Pushbutton versus Column/Console Units?

If memory serves me correctly, the rooster comb is different as well as the manual valve.
They have to allow for the extra cable travel for the console gear cable to get to park position and an additional neutral in the valve.

I do not have picture handy, hopefully someone else will.

column shift and console transmissions have a different valve body and rooster comb.

Helped a friend with this a while back , yes the rooster comb and the manual valve are different from pushbutton units and console shift units. Also the adjust was very time consuming as one hole made a difference in if it was correct or not.

F2464734 is a '64 console-shift trans. You can use it with pushbuttons by using the '65 adjustment procedure i.e. make the adjustment with the shifter in 1 instead of R.

Not quite accurate, different rooster comb, different manual valve and different shifter cable, the valve body castings where the same in column shift and floor shift cars is what I remember from back then,

The transmission was rebuilt by Mancini years ago - I am pretty sure that the parts list included a Turbo Action Valve Body Part 17672 (62-64 Pushbutton)

Not sure what Rooster Comb is in there??

Since the column/console valve body has the Park position added, the bore for the manual valve is bored deeper (actually bored clear through) for the extra travel of the valve.
