I need larger tires on the Fury, I thought these would fill the wheel openings but, they are way too small
currently 235 x 60's on rear 225's on front
Not excited about the looks of the wheels on the car either so..

Thinking american racing Torque Thrusts
and going 255 x 70's on rear but, wonder if they will fit

The main problem is getting them on between brake drum and wheel opening , once they are on I think they will fit

Anyone have any expericance on what will fit on them ?

I can fit 265's on the rear of my 65 polara if jack the car by the frame and let the axle sag. They say 270's will fit

I'd think about upping the size to 17" wheels. I'll bet that would look really good on that station weapon.

Maybe something like these chromed Dodge Nitro wheels?

I'm sure there's probably a good deal to be found for take-offs at a dealership in the area.

Or howzabout these stock 17" steelies off a 1500 Ram?

I better get my bullet proof vest on but ..

Yeah, I did consider 17's ..

My 1st thought is shuffle the ones over from my truck to check fitment see if they fit

But, the plan would be for the grey centered ones
although, those steel ones you posted other than that cheap looking center are not awful

They don't look too bad, do they?
And the bid price to start is CHEAP, with just 2 days left.
Plus, you get to stick with the SILVER paint scheme

Unless they changed something thats the bolt pattern on them

Now, the jeep cherokees I think are 4 1/2

I would run straight old steel wheels with red line tires but, I'm affraid thats a WHOLE lotta white with that big billboard

I like this look too

Mine's a '67, but fitment is probably similar. I have 255/60/17s on the back. A buddy has 255/70/15s on a '67 Fury vert. In both cases, you've got to jack it way up by the frame to get the tire in there.
Cragar has some relatively cheap steel 17s available from Summit. I used to have Mustang bullit wheels on my wagon but switched to the steelies a couple months ago.

Gotta admit the Torque Thrusts look good.
Here's a Jeep wheel that is 17" and has 4.5" bolt pattern...but it's pricey too

That Jeep wheel is for a Liberty, btw, so I imagine a Dodge Nitro has the same bp.
