My ing/starter switch has been giving me trouble so I decided to install an overhead switch panel in the bracket car. Have everything but the ing & starter button hooked up. On my stock start switch there are 6 wires.
red to battery
black to acc.
brown to ing 2
yellow to st
blue solid to ing 1
blue w/white stripe to ing 1 also
The starter button on the console has 2 lugs & the toggle switch has 2 lugs. I'm not too good at this stuff. Can anyone tell me were the wires hook to. Thanks

(1) on/off ign sw, connect red to one terminal and the blue and blue w tracer to the other terminal. (2) The momentary contact start sw connect red to one terminal and yellow to the other terminal. This'll duplicate OE ex you wont have the brown (ign2) ballast bypass because if you connect the brown and yellow together on one end of the starter sw it'll let current (after you start it) feed back from the downstream (brown wire) side of the ballast to the starter solenoid because they are connected on that end of the new sw whereas on the OE ign sw they are seperate terminals.

So to make sure I am understanding. Connect the red wire to both the ing toggle (on/Off) and also to the push button switch? So I will need to splice the red wire to two or can I jump it over from the toggle to the push button? And just not use the brown and black wires?

EDIT run the red to the ign sw (input terminal) then T from there to the st sw so you can crank it WO the ign on which comes in handy at times when diagnosing as opposed to running it thru the ign then on to the st sw and on some apps (high DCR, weak starter) it's advantageous to get it cranking then hit the ign for an easier start & w your type of switch setup you can do it just as easily whereas w OE they're together in the ign sw
