Yes, NAPA Gold = WIX. Same for Carquest's premium filter. Last I knew, you could get NAPA Golds for a great price from a member on here (check the Hot Deals section).
I see no reason to use Fram. If you want a cheap filter, there are other filters at lower prices, and their quality is probably at least as good as Fram.
