I've got a 2010 Challenger R/T. I really like the looks of the old 15" wheels painted body color. I'm wondering if it would be possible to get a set of 20" steel wheels made for my new Challenger, that would resemble the old wheels somewhat, and be able to support the red-line dog-dish hubcaps. Anybody done this?

There was a guy at Spring Fling about two years ago with a blue 67 Coronet with 18" steel looking rims. I think they were actually aluminum. He had redline stripes put on the tires. Looked pretty trick. I think there was an off the shelf place making those rims. **Edit** darn google is pretty cool: 67 coronet 18 inch rims ... gets you... http://www.moparmax.com/events/2008/iii_6-fling-2.htmlSays Boyds made the rims at a $4500 cost.

If 17 x 8 wheels will clear and thats a big if , Specialty Wheels has an 17 inch band they use to make their 17 x 8 Magnum wheels. This is a drop center band. This band will accept a standard 15 inch old style steel wheel center , that will take a 9" dogdish cap. May have to use a spacer... Just a possible idea. Frank Long

You might be right. Getting the disc brakes to clear might be the biggest issue with 17" rims though. Just for fun, I Photo-shopped a set of 15" wheels onto this Challenger, and "biggie sized" them appropriately. I definitely like the looks. Ignore the backwards letters on the tires.
That looks awesome. I like it. And I don't think they look too big/small, or wrong at all.

what I would do I think is look for some wheels off of a police charger and paint them body color, and use their chrome centers... http://www.allpar.com/squads/police-cars/charger.html

I don't know if these clear the R/T brakes, but people have put the Charger cop wheels on Challengers and I think it looks good on this black car at least. I'm not sure if it would look right on a brighter colored one though.
no it doesn't look good. I likin' it to a guy who in 69 orders a loaded Charger R/T and ops for the steelies and dishes... looks off. A Charger is not a low end car and should appear as such. Neither is a Challenger R/T of today.
