Another thing is the Arrington heads are not all the same. The set I sold to Ryan are completely different than the set a buddy of mine has where Dave Weber built the motor and Vignona owned it. The motor was nick named the mule. Made a lot of power over my Arrington headed motor.
There were quite a few revisions of those heads.... your set were later ones with a heavily angled spark plug, & a small double quench pad chamber. Rick's set were std plug angle W5 heart shape chamber etc.

What exactly is an Arrington head? Was it a Zeus casting?

No, Zeus is (was) a foundry that cast some aluminum parts for Chrysler (heads, blocks, intakes) years ago. They are out of business....
Arringtons were cast by Diamond in Michigan, late 80's into mid 90's. They were designed/made for Joey Arrington. 15 degree head, very similar in size/shape to a W7. Intake port is roughly 1.3" to 1.5" off the deck of block. They have alot of water leaking issues, too much water jacket in the intake short turn area.... Castings were never great either aluminum quality wise. I could have shown you some when you were @ shop last week if you had inquired, I have several sets here.
Ritter's stuff was angle milled to 13 degree, most were ported by Jim Bell in TX. Most were 2.15"/1.625" valve heads, 11/32 guides, flow in the 350 range on intake & 250 exhaust.

I believe Rick Allison at A&A owns both cars now.
Howard
... i don't think Rick owns them both now, he may have at 1 time but not now. i know this because my car is sitting in the same garage as this car, which belongs to my bro Cecil Stanford..Cecil and his brother Rodney bought this car off of Mike Shaffer(SP) who i believe bought it off of Rick Allision. i'm not even gonna pretend that i know very much of the history about this car, but Cecil has talked to Jerry Haas about the car and was told that this build tag meant it was built for Ritter&Weber..hence the RW(Ritter-Weber)on the tag. Cecil also tells me that Haas told him in a phone conversation, that to the best of his(Haas)memory that there were 4 cars built. 2-P/S and 2-S/C cars. the P/S car tag would of had WC(Wayne County).
Saw this thread was dug up again...
Rick Allison did have one of the (red) '89? Daytonas and raced it into the late 90s until he had a mishap in it. While making repairs to that one he bought one of the '93 (black) Ritter Daytona's. He did sell the red one to Mike Schaeffer after repairs were completed, and continues running the black one today. I may have some photos through the years - will see if I can dig any up. They were both Haas cars built for Ritter/Weber - were never Pro Stock cars.

Was doing some Google searching for Ritter-Weber photos, and came across this photo/forum. I said hey...I know that 80's Challenger. Mr. Ritter's younger brother was one of my Babe Ruth coaches...will withhold his name to protect the innocent! Remember going up to the shop and looking at these cars and the rail car...also watching dyno an engine or two. Would love to score another Ritter-Weber or Ritter racing tee-shirt, the one I have has gotten pretty shredded. Wow...that was a long time ago. Dave Webber did the machine work on my little 2.2 Turbo II. Dave is doing a lot in the G3 hemi World, https://www.modernmusclextreme.com/ Might be worth a shot to see if he still has a shirt or 2 laying around.
