Can't help with the trans ID, but more pics of the Pacer would be nice.
Is there a tag under one of the bolt heads holding the end plate of the transaxle in place?
I'll look for the tag in the morning thanks
Here's one pic

Is the sequence # 263???.?
The vin and fender tag last 6 digits are 357415.
I did find some numbers on the under side of trans where the half shafts attach, it is (4295481) and then (cavity 3) also (05111 * 84) Do these mean anything?

The ID tag is on the diff cover down by the dogbone mount. Take some brake cleaner and rags with you. They are usually all mucked over. My guess is you are going to have a 465. I you need one and can't find locally, I have both a 465 and 525 sittin out in the shop.
I wouldn't have ever looked there, thanks. It is a A525 I'll see if I can find one around here but don't be surprised if I send you a message. I removed the cover on the end of the trans and found a broken sync ring.
thanks george
