I don't but I learned to make sure the block deck and head surfaces are very smooth before using them, don't ask me how I know Make sure and get the RA numbers(measured surface finish numbers ) and use them on the finish on your heads and block to make sure the gaskets seal properly

my machine shop is familiar with cometics and he knew that was what we would be running when he did the surface work so we should be good

I have reused the set on my 556 twice. On my previous 511 I reused the set 5 times, and they are still going. I sold the 511 to my friend.

We reuse them and when we do we seperate all but one rivit fanning the layers and spray them with Permatex copper spray on all the layers, let it get tacky and install.we generally allow it to set a few days at final torque and recheck.

i ruined a fresh build do to a water leak that wasnt noticed and the car sat for awhile with water in the cylenders, had the block resurfaced and no more probs.
