That quite a bit of spring pressure. I have run them to about 350 lbs open with solid flat tappets. But your talking about 40% more pressure overall compared to a solid flat cam.

Hey Guys,
Have any of you guys had any luck with some of the milder "street" solid rollers and the Crane Iron rockers? Say something like the Lunati .600/.600 VooDoo or the Comp XR292R. Will the Crane iron rockers handle the spring pressure of a street roller? The Comp recomended spring has an open load of 456 pounds. Thanks!
Michael

I have those two EXACT cams and am deciding which one to run in my 511 RB. (Thinking VooDoo! Got it off Ebay AFTER I had the XR292...) I have Stealth heads with Isky 9205 springs (aprox 190# seat and maybe 475# open), and I sent some original MaxWedge rockers to RAS and had them bronze bushed and fitted to my shafts. Well worth the investment for durability and simplicity! RB

What did this cost you?
I called them about doing this, the price was insane, could have bought real race rockers for less
I had the rockers, and I think it was priced per rocker, $7 back then (maybe a year)IIRC. Plus shipping to California of course. Nicely bushed with re-routed oiling and internally grooved. I would rather have these than budget full rollers or higher priced roller-tipped ones that would gall to the shafts under the pressure... RB

I run the iron rockers and my old motor had mopar triple battleship springs and the crane R280 roller, .670 lift, .280 duration, never had any problems and i'm still using the same rockers and shafts. Mick
