Jamie, April 9th you wrote-
Now an update, We received our revised design 5th reverse interlock back. It is FINALLY within spec, so we are planning to begin building as soon as we receive them. ONCE AGAIN!!!!!! I AM NOT A FORTUNE TELLER!!!! I was told a month. So, when they are in my hand, We will start building.
Sorry for the tangent, but enough is enough already! I understand everyone's frustration, I am quite sure, yours pales in comparison to mine.
Also, the list is up to 269 people now.

Can you update us if you received these parts and when production will begin? I'm not beating you up as I'm not even on the list yet, just curious.

I'm 55 now, no time to waste. Not a week goes by that I don't hear about someone passing on.Let's get out there, smoke some tires, have a beer with a good friend,do what you have always wanted to do.I am pretty sure no one will ever say on their deathbed "gee I'm glad my life was calm and boring"

Interlock stuff is scheduled to go to heat treat end of next week. I am buttoning up loose ends on shifter linkage. We had a problem develop with the shop that was making them for us. I am in process of remedying this currently.

We definitely can not have loose ends on shifter linkages!

Woot!

Keep fighting the good fight Jamie.

Thanks for sticking with it Jamie. Even though I can't afford one for my Valiant, I would be on the list in a heartbeat if I could!

Well stated; the Walmart mindset. They will brag that they saved $20 dollars off retail but the stuff is junk in a year. The same Bozo expecting to sell above Walmart prices via craigslist.

One of the employees(not Jamie)at Carlisle told me production was to start next week. It sounded like they will be built in batchs as parts come in.

I talk to Jamie at the show and he said that they are stating to assemble them this week. He has over 300 orders to do first. I am sure the list will get bigger knowing the trany is a go. I am sure he can only assemble a few a day. With that being said, it is going to be awhile be fore he releases it to the public. Plus the rest of the work he has. He said he was swapped with work. So everybody needs to be patient. They are coming.

Talked to the Passon crew at the Nats and they had one car in the show field with one. They are building units and if you are not on he list get on the list a it's the only way to get one.

RealWing,

I asked one of Passion's guys if a moparts member actually had one in their car yet and he said yes. So I asked him if he was absolutely sure someone did and he guaranteed me that people did. He even got a bit miffed that I questioned him. Seems the truth is elusive or 1-3 might have their tranny in already. NOT! I hate BS.

Jamie has mentioned that there are a few in cars for testing.

Yeah I knew there were people testing the box. I did not tell the rest of the story though. He said that moparts people on the list had the tranny AND that production was occurring. I did not ask him how long production had been occurring. That is why I really questioned him and he got a bit miffed that I was questioning him. So whoever is 1 on the list should have a tranny and production should be going. Just not seeing that this is a fact. Hard to believe that #4 does not have their box if they guy has his facts straight. Must be bench racing. lol

I'm in the process of choosing a trans and this one has some real promise for my needs. Time frame looks to be a concern for me though.

I know that I am going to regret this but here goes...
We have officially started production. There are several production units built. One has been shipped and it is in the car and functioning properly. '67 GTX. Yes, there was ZERO modification needed to put it in the car. Fact of the matter is that there is an AIRPORT around the trans. We are waiting on shifter rods. I managed to pull that set together for that car because the car was set to be in a photo shoot at the Mopar Nationals. I had to move heaven and earth accomplish this. This included HAND MAKING the shifter rods. So, as soon as I have rods, we will begin to ship. I expect this very soon. PLEASE understand that we are going to be building well into next year to get caught up. ALSO, let me be crystal clear. We need to keep the 4 speed shop going to pay for this project. So, we will build as quickly as possible. There is no set "build rate" per day.

Also, let me set the record straight. The gentleman that has the unit IS A MOPARTS member. So, my staff person wasn't BS'ing. I probably would have gotten a bit miffed too. You are basically calling the person a liar. Tends not to go over so well... I am not going to brow beat my customer into coming on here and giving a full report. If and when he is ready to do that, I'm sure he will. I do not feel right expecting customers to do this.

We are finally there. I appreciate everyone's patience so far and will continue to request it as we move forward with the project.
Jamie

Congratulations!! I'll bet you will be glad to see the backside of this project.

It never ceases to amaze me the people that think your business and your customers business is somehow their business .

I'm sure they would be if you were to broadcast your dealings with one of them on an open forum, should they actually have the wherewithal to buy anything you have for sale.

I'm glad to see that the light at the end of the tunnel was not a train.

Kevin

Thanks for clearing that up, Jamie. You are a stand up guy and I'm sure things are proceeding at the best pace possible. I've bought parts from you and your knowledge is second to none. I am not "on the list" so I don't have a dog in the fight, so to speak, but I can tell you this. I have a friend who has the other currently available tranny offered out there right now. I he is not happy with it. It has been in the shop more than he is driven it. It still will not shift well and he is afraid to stand on it because it might break again. After spending on $7500 on that pig, he is about ready to put a stock one back in his charger.
