I make it to the track a couple/few times a year and the Cuda is closing in on my target 11.5 run thanks to all the help from everyone here at Moparts.

Made only 100 or so passes this year... hurt the motor early in the year. But We try to go to almost every NSS race we can!

Don't post here anymore.
Don't know enough about door slammers.

Don't know about adding weight waiting to run and the track is holding more hp

Or about the parts it takes

Or about waiting in the staging lanes waiting to run

Or the dance at the big end of the track to get the cars off the track

And here's the big one.The $50,000 a week it cost to go racing.

My question here is how many of you race?

I race a alky dragster,5 grand per run. I own the parts and cars(2) and then tune and drive the car. You drive?

Waitng in the fire up road, getting the car turned round, packing all the kit up after a long weekend,Eating at some ungodly hour because the CAR always comes first, frustration when two hours work results in the car blowing the tyres off on the start line......been there many times,,,but everyyear i come back for more..If its in your blood there is nothing you can do but sit back and enjoy the good times ,,and deal with the badd,,,,Silverline Afuel car fastest a fueler outside of the States,5.301sec 279.95 mph .When i am not crewing ,i am racing my 67 cuda

I just built This car last winter and got it to the track 3 times this year with lots of gremlins to work out. I will only go to the track around 4 times per year. Maybe a couple more test and tune nights.

Does 300 plus passes in the season count? 4 final rounds, 2 wins, 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile, IHRA, NHRA, outlaw track, box, no box, true foot brake, bracket race or heads up, it don't matter to me. Not a hobby to me, more like a way of life.
I don't hunt, fish, play golf, or chase wild women, I race.

I`ve owned my 72 dart since 93 and it`s on it`s 4th motor. I`m an et chaser so that`s my gig......could care less about bracket racing, trophys etc. just like to see if my changes improve my et`s which doesn`t always happen. Been doing this since the late 1980`s and will till I die but must say it`s WAY more fun street driving this heap than racing it ESPECIALLY when I pull into the gas station and fill er up. Not the fastest and not the slowest but a blast to drive street or strip. I build my own engines, tubbed it, moved the springs inboard and do all of my interior work myself. Save me a bunch of money for `s an racing.

I don't, I have steered a couple of times of cars I helped friends build. I haven't finished a car for myself because I am too fussy and often times procrastinate. I also am just too busy with work and saving for another house to concentrate on getting my car finished. I have been out of the racing scene for a little while due to work commitments also.
I have assisted with dyno testing of more engines than I can remember, built a few myself and done much of the fabrication on friends street & strip cars. I have also been fortunate enough to learn from a few exceptional engine builders too.
I tend to lurk more nowadays, I am probably not as up to date as I would like to be, I have forgotten a few things, I am getting old these days, I'm 34 next year

I did in 1981. Now I delegate it to the boy. He is a better driver anyway. Maybe before I'm pushing up daisies I'll get back in a car...
