I know there is a drawing showing the measurements for the placement of the hockey stripe for a 70 Cuda, I have seen it. I looked in the service manual and the parts manual; however, I cannot find it. Does any one have it? Maybe some one could send me to where I could find it.

Thanks, Jeff

The NOS Hockey stripe decals have a built in location & alignment aid in the form of an translucent protective covering which is peeled off after the decal is applied. The protective covering overhangs the decal material, and its edges locate to the body "character lines". I do not know if the reproductions use this feature...

It seems to me that the left side stripe in the following photos is more correct than the right side stripe? According to the tech sheet the front edge or beginning of the hockey stripe should be just slightly ahead (1/2"-3/4") of the door handle. The rear of the hockey stripe should be about a 1/2" or so ABOVE the body character line and not any closer or right at it as on the left side. Regardless the left and right are not the same in these photos as done by a certain TV show. I would go by the right side stripe placement or close to it as explained in the tech sheet.

More correct right side with leading edge slightly ahead of the door handle:

Incorrect left side hockey stripe (IMO) with leading edge Parrell with the door handle opening and the rear of the hockey stick stripe right on the character body line and too much space between the top of the quarter fender line.

(I have to say that the right side stripe was installed by the show's expert and he was showing how it was supposed to be done and it is IMO correct. The left side was done by two of the show's apparentness and they missed it by a little. Just hope the owner of the Cuda doesn't see or read this. wink Sorry but it jumped out at me when I saw it.
