Sorry If this comes up as a delist tried to post from my phone earlier. I have a 1970 b body air car however the air parts in the engine bay are gone and my heater core is bad. Can I install a standard non ac core in my heater box and use just the heat I will later install a classic auto air system maybe next season but I want heat for fall and the correct ac heater core is nearly 300 vs 58 or so for heat only. Will they interchange without modifications? Thanks in advance

Thanks in that case is it cheaper to redo mine or can that be done? I'd really like heat in the next few weeks but if not I guess a jacket will work !

You'll have to remove it to see why it's leaking , there are two cores connected by hoses and such plus a valve , almost anything in there could be leaking .

Nothing interchanges between A/C and non A/C heater boxes without major firewall changes.

A competent radiator shop can probably repair most anything wrong with the core

If you are trying to retain a stock look it is tough. I have a 69 Coronet non R/T or numbers car that I can cut up to my hearts delight so I pulled all the factory air and heater junk out and shaved a couple hundred pounds off the car. Vintage Air has a street rod universal heater that plugs into heater hose like stock that is small enough under the dash to also mount the MSD box under there. Plenty of heat for the wife with my window low enough to listen to the pipes. Whole deal was less than $200.00 at local street rod shop.
