I'd recommend putting a stock seal retainer on it just to be sure it's not in the retainer itself. If it's in the block then the main bearing bores have issues, possibly crooked. You would be lucky to not have a constant rear seal leak. If it's in the block and it were mine I'd be sending it back

Feel blessed your seal retainer actually fits n between the side walls of a World block. You ought to have seen the last World block I had. The retainer wouldnt even fit the block. I had to change the retainer to an Indy style and use silicone instead of side seals. The block wasnt even machined properly for their OWN retainer. More of their quality contorl. Good luck to you.

I've heard of this before and have a few questions:
1. Was the block purchased from Chrysler, or from World Products?
2. If purchased from Chrysler, is the paperwork (receipt or invoice) available?
3. What is the serial number?
Post or PM is ok.
Thanks!

Zippy, The block is mine, my engine builder posted the pictures to get some feedback. The block was purchased direct from World Products and we have already machined it here in Australia (not expecting to have to deal with crap like this)! I will try a factory retainer and see if it fits better. And yes I have a set of ARP main studs on the way
