this 69 dart is 3200 lbs with 500ci indy 440-1 heads. makes right at 750 hp. all steel but the hood with full cage, sfi to 8.50. 4-link car, 29.5x10.5W. it runs 6.20s @ 111 mph in the 1/8. it should go 6.0s with a little more tuning on it. my son and i drive it for a friend of ours. he can't pass the competition lic.

I put a measley 495 hp and tq at the tires w/my 72 dart and 470 stroker and have been 6.22`s at 109+ and that`s at 3150 lbs ready to race. Heard loose verts give inaccurate numbers though so who knows.
72 Dart 470 n/a BB stroker street car `THUMPER`...Check me out on FB Dominic Thumper for videos and lots of carb pics......760-900-3895.....

...Only pic I have handy, my tube chassis street car. It's been 5.99/115/1.33 with a serious pump gas motor (10.28 comp). Did those number's with race gas. Weight is about 2625 with me, 2700 with street trim. Been on the street for ~ 6 yrs. Guessed 695-725 hp @ motor, don't know. 499ci, program caps, Indy-1 350cfm, ported intake,1050 carb, old Herb Mcandless/Ken Lasari roller,glide,4.56, & can set in traffic all day, serious! ...Note: the red hoses go to my small heater inside the car.

ok guys this is what i was thinking on the start of the build let me know what you would do or change to make this combo work. car is 1972 dart plan is to put fiber glass on the hood deck maybe fenders, keep stock glass, gonna keep stock frame rails and ladder bar the car, open wheel tubs up to fit as large a tire as possible,8 gal cell, cage. motor 400 stroked 451/493 not sure yet alum. rods as long as possible, short piston as light as possible inter. bal. ass. crank will be forged heads we're in the air first big block project but thought about the pro comps/ez/1s cam will be a roller with the roller rockers single plane intake with 4500 top if possible 727 worked over with a brake init 8' verta with some 4.56 gears... add in what you think on this como please, my first big block and looking points from you fast guys....i like the build above

I have run 6.38 at 107mph with my 64B body at 3080 with driver. I used a .055 over 440, a 620-MP cam, a set of E-heads shaved .060 and a set of Rross 14cc domes at 0 deck, and 950-HP on a victor intake. On leaf springs. It dont take mutch. Go to my web site fo more info

I had mine weighed at a divisional meet several years ago. all steel, all stock glass, w/small block 3402 with me in it I go 230lbs. When I put a bb in it I just factored in another 100lbs Now I'm all aluminum up front so I just factor back to 3402.
