I have a rebuilt 440 that is running hot and it has electric dual fans that pulls 2500 cfm. Does anyone know how much CFM the factory fans pull???
The motor has about 500HP and 550 T and is bored 40 over.
Thanks

getting a few people telling me to go back to the factory stuff that the electric fans just can't cool as well. That why I was wondering what cfm they pulled.
If you have it..put it back on and give it a try. Any reason you went w/ the electric?

guess I will go back I see yearone only has 3 row rads should I go 4 row???
Save your money. Check e-bay if you think you need a Rad. I'd get a good fan and shroud 1st. You can probably find nice used items in the parts section here.

Those fans will never cool that motor, not even with a shroud which you also need. Stock is best when it comes to cooling old Mopars.
The stock setup moves a lot of air and works well. First priority is a clutch fan and shroud. You may score one at a JY or you can find it at Mancini. Add a new radiator only if needed.
The MP clutch fan kit from Mancini includes a 5 blade fan. It has low drag and works in many situations but some setups require a more aggressive fan. Bouchillon sells a 6 blade or you can find a 7 blade at a JY. I have one from a '78 Cordoba... which I didn't need as the 5 blade was enough.
