I'm in the process of rebuilding a hemi and noticed there are restrictors installed into the deck for the oil feeds to the heads. Should these be removed? I've read restrictors should not by used.

Also, I'm installing the intermediate shaft bushing and I can't remember if the grove cut into the center has to be in a particular orientation.

I wouldn't remove the restrictors if this is a non world block. Hemi's need all the oil they can get up top especially the exhaust push rods with heavy valve springs.

Doesn't matter which way the slot in the bushing points.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking.

That was common practice thirty years ago. Get them out of there....it never was necessary.
