I'm sure it weighs 2621 lbs. with me in it. That probably lessens the novelty of breaking the 10 second barrier for some but, whatever. As far as titanium nuts go..........this car doesn't take the clankers I thought it would to drive it into the nines. I limited the front end travel to 3.5" and it drives like it's on a string......almost. Other than the pump gas 346" engine, it has an ATI 6250 RPM stall, 8" converter in an A&A aluminum drum 904 (2.45:1 1st gear) Dana 60 with 5.57 gear and 31" slick. It goes through the lights at about 8000 RPM. (converter looks to have about 2.4% slip) Thanks for all the kind words.

Not from this camp. I hope you don't think I implied that! I was curious because acheiving that weight is an accomplishment in itself. After you posted this I ran HP #'s thru Wallace based on the 1/8 mi MPH, nice . I'm sure the D.A. wasn't ideal either. You either lifted or you have some problem the 2nd half of the track. This was an impressive first outing. Nice program Vic.

People take me the wrong way in person.......probably more so in text. I wasn't saying that to anybody, in particular. I know "race weight?" is one of the first questions I'd have asked. I'm a number cruncher too. The car/engine exceeded my own expectations. (A RARITY!) Believe it or not, this engine was assembled from my pile of SB parts that "should" work without spending any more money to finish. It veered from my original plan, because it was going to cost more to do it that way. I agree with the problem in the last half of the track. After reviewing my log book, pertaining to weather and jet changes, it appears I may have a carburetor/fuel delivery issue. I think there is more in it, currently. Fall air should bring better times. My 9.9928 pass was at a density altitude of 3113' 78.6º 57% humidity 29.01" hg It's all good.

Thanks Jackie. It really does look better in person. I'll tell Rod. (He'll read this.) JR better get to the next race while he's hot. I'm glad he has the car running consistant. I hope to see you at Norwalk. I can't run at Bunker Hill until I get my license.

Vic,
Are you running the MP 304 .571 solid cam in this motor?
If so, how do you like it? Done any shift point experimentation?
