You stage with the foot brake. When you have the stage light lit, bring the RPM up to about 2500 and set the trans brake. If you have a delay box set the delay so you can come off the trans brake at the first hint of yellow bulb, then just sit and wait.

Im using a A & A brake, I also bought a adjustable button. I wont be messing with that, I just want to learn how to use the brake and get down the track. My friends tell me that when you let go of the button it feels like somebody rearends you? Is that true?
i bought the A&A ultimate brake a few seasons ago, it can stop me in seven positions at the startline,(flicking the button off/on) i know, we checked it at tnt. i normally stop at prestage on the footbrake & as soon as the opponent comes into prestage i roll forward & hit the button when the prestage light goes out which has me in deep.(no footbrake) i don't have to rev the engine up to get it to lock, it locks in at idle. as soon as my opponent has lit the stage light i'm on the pedal, this usually makes the starter hit the switch. i race on a protree so i'm usually only on the limiter for 2 sec's max. usually my opponent left behind as they're never really 100% ready & don't worry about the boys who run griner brakes, that A&A you have is just as good & has less chance of solenoid failure. it's definately a kick in the pants on the launch, with the front wheels in the air you wont have time to be concerned with the rearended feeling. drive it like you stole it.

I have a msd two stage box with a msd ajustable rmp module. My plan is to stage with the footbrake, than hit the tbrake, when the tree starts to come down hit the gas and wait for the last bulb and let er go. What do you think?
Perfect plan. Do that, with a 3,000 chip, then increase the "leave" rpm, until you get the best 60'. Beware, the higher the leave rpm, (higher than 3800) the greater the chance for carnage, in the long run. Have fun!

Yes--its a brutal take off
It will take a few passes to get used to it- got to re-train your feet.
I shallow stage it with the brakes and push in the button as soon as im staged . Gas to the floor - depending on the opponents dial- if its a much slower car i wait a bit before flooring it.
Make sure you test it at home--just rev up to 2k or so-- so you will know if it will creep . Mine does a few inches . ENJOY tim !
Is Harlow going ?
