Do you get "nothing" when you turn the key?

I've experienced this on a Jeep and it was a loose connection on the plug that attaches to the guage cluster.

OK, this is going to be very non-technical.
My buddy's 01 Ram with a 5.9 had the same code, but the engine wouldn't turn, etc when he turned the key. After alot of frustrating trial and error, here's what did the trick (again, very non-technical):

To the rear of the battery there's an electrical/fuse box. When you pop the plastic cover, there should be a main wiring harness that is held down by a screw. Although we didn't disconnect the battery, it may be wise to do so. Anyway, loosen the hold-down screw, pull the harness, clean the pins (if necessary), and plug it all back together. His code went away and he's had no further issues since performing those simple steps (seems as if is was simply a bad connection there somewhere). Perhaps someone with real knowledge will chime in. Good luck with it!!!

Computers bad. Got a new one on ebay for a real good price sent them the info and they programmed it and all. Plug and play for 300 or so. 360 magnum durango.

On my 99 Ran that happened a few times I just smacked the dash and it would work again. I took the instrument cluster out and checked the connections, no problems since. Oddly enough it happen on hot days and not cold days. I figured heat expansion was causing a poor connection?

Still Broke

Very possible. But checking wire harness connections is a lot cheaper, as in free.
