Yes, the BOV pice is pre made. Cheap and effective. I used duals because a single could not keep up with the turbo.

The turbo is a Buick style and the wastegate is internal.

Would a holset H1E be good for a Stock Slant turbo build? What all would you suggest I would need. I have an Aussie Speed SLANT SIX 4bbl intake aswell. I dont need tons of power. Itll be in an 80 shortbox D100 with an 833od

Actually, I'm not that familure with that turbo. The best thing to do is to find the compressor map and see how it fits. Since the 225 is about the same size as the Buick 231- 3.9L, I followed on their boards to see what was working for them.

The H1E is off of the 89-93 series cummins. They had no internal wastegate and used a larger exhaust housing than the later HX35. It probably wouldn't spool that well. Not sure what the stock buick 3.8 turbo would probably work alright.

Sorry for the hi-jack but would it work better on a 318 than. I thought I read somewhere that it was for a 94. My bad. I dont need a tone of power. It would be more for fuel economy and be driven 50 plus miles a day on the interstate if I can ever find a job again sorry

Any updates on your build?

I thought us 1st gen (89-93) guys have the H1C mostly. Looks like some of both googling, but I'm not sure of the differences.

5.9L engine with revband to 3000rpm and comfortable up to 25-30psi b4 you push too far out of the sweet spot.
It'll work for you if you'll be putting similar air through it (smaller engine, but up to twice the rpms?) and want to push some higher boost through it. Though stock those trucks only ran 10-15psi.

If you are looking for something very basic it would work on a pretty stock 318.

Missed this earlier but yes you are correct it was the H1C. I think the H1E is larger in all ways but I don't think alot larger. Not exactly sure what they were on... Probably a C series stationary engine? I think it is the same as a HX40.

Back on topic though. What happened to the slant? We need a update.

My 92 CTD pushes 27 psi and redlines at 2400 rpm. I wish it'd turn 3000 but I haven't replaced the factory governor spring.

They could not get the dyno to read data. They messed with it for two hours & no luck. They said they would give me a free dyno session next time for wasting so much of my time (obviously, no charge here either).

Weather was perfect too.

OK, maybe we'll let them slide this time since they worked with you.

I think you's just skeered to show what your wee little beastie did.
