The stock manual drums stop my 69 RR great. I see no reason to spend the money on discs if you are happy now. If you are pushing the car hard consistently, then it may pay off to go with the discs.

I want my fair share

disk - i cringe whenever i see 4 wheel drums in urban stop-&-go traffic. they were fine when everyone had 4 wheel drums, but every car built in the last 20 years has at least front wheel disks. gotta keep up w/ those in front of you.

Make sure to keep a points distributor, get a 46-amp alternator in there, and see if you can find some non-halogen headlights. Straight-weight oil is probably good enough, too. And get rid of those radial tires.

Put discs on the car and don't look back. Please!

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.

i'll rock the boat and vote drum.

money is better spent elsewhere on a project car, you can convert to disc at a later date.

drum brakes stop fine, as long as your not continuously threshold braking your good.
