HEMICUDA OP top fuel Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,923 Medina, Ohio	Test fitted the new 71-72 seat backs today, they fit beautifully with every screw hole lining up perfectly. The 70 will also be done in the same tool with inserts for the sides. As you can see, the seat back doesn�t have any grain yet since it is extremely important that the tool is validated first before the grain is machined into the tool. You�re asking for trouble if you assume the part is good and machine the grain in before a good test fit. This is just a sneak peek behind the scene look at the initial start of a part. The color is no more than what was in the machine when the tool was loaded for validation, could have been pink just as easy. Michael C. Oh, nevermind, you did test fit them. *Super glad you are doing both the 70&71 versions! BTW, I'm sure you already knew it but many early 71 cars came with 70 style seats.

They will be 1/2 as thick and be able to be twisted and pulled to fit any style seat. I don't understand the question, are you asking me if we took liberties making the seat backs? Ofcourse not. The reason I asked is because I have a set of reproduction seat backs that are about 1/2 as thick as the originals and will twist to almost fit. I have been waiting for someone to step up and reproduce a set like the originals. Let us know when you have them for sale.

If they are like your other products, they will fit right the first time, and not have the dimensional 'issues' that exist in reproduction parts from some other suppliers. Thanks for taking on this project - I look forward to seeing the production-ready parts. Any chance I will be able to get them at the Mopar Nats this year? -Tom
