Do we expect bearded ladies and clowns on unicycles roaming nthe grounds selling programs. The NHRA began its long miserable descent into oblivion years ago when they hired Dallas Gardner.

I'm sure NHRA didn't order Bruton to build a 4 lane track. IIRC, the city/county didn't want the track at all and Bruton bullied them until he got his way. Besides, so many people whine that they want drag racing to be like it was in the old days, here's your chance to go see it how it used to be. Lots of tracks used to run 4 wide. US 30 called them 'Jungle Races'. "Everybody funny, now you funny too."
