Eric Manuel, username 3404, also does excellent work and is quite reasonable. Did the plating on my last 2 projects, and I'll use him again on the next one.

Thanks guys.
Completely dismantled, plated in correct finishes and then assembled with new rivets and washers.

Depends on what level your looking for Eric will replate the assembled part so the whole part is subjected to the same plating which is a huge step up from the typical spray bomb job... But Jules takes the latch apart & replate each component with the proper finish providing a true OE type part...

Another advantage is that I can lubricate the internals directly where need be with the correct yellow grease
instead of trying to inject lube.

depends on if you want the factory look or very over restored look?these pieces are easy to detail yourself.

I'm speaking of door latches...Jules takes door latches apart ?? Door latch is the subject.

There's no such thing as "Over Restored", there's correctly restored and there's incorrectly restored, Jules hit's the "Correctly Restored" target closer than anything else I've seen.

Easy to detail yourself? Maybe if they are just dirty, but if the plating is bad or they are worn it's not a job for the average home DIY guy.

Now, let's see an example your work

Nice speaking with you Cary. You have a super cool project in your hands.
Inner door mechanisms are loaded with rivets and springs.
The cost to do them from scratch would be too high.
Too small a market to go into.

Meaning no disrespect but the earlier part of the thread was refering to hood trunk & door latches which Jules was suggested for then a discussion of accuracy came about then you posted that the subject is door latches which now that you've edited your post to clarify that your intrest is in door latches thats cool but the thread originally was about more than door latches..And that is what I was pointing out... I didn't mean to offend but I probably am again... I seem to have knack lately... So let's & let it go..
