It has been a long time since I posted on this forum but I could use some help for the experts.
I have a 1968 Barracuda Formula S 383 4-speed. The car was NOT equipped with a center console. I am in the middle of putting it back together when I ran across 2 different shifters. I need to know which one is supposed to go in this car. They both have the same general shape except one is slightly longer than the other.
My suspicions are the longer shifter is for a car with a center console and the shorter one is for non-center console. Also, the shorter shifter has a number stamped at the base where the three bolts are of "44532" while the longer on does not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Here's the shifter from my car. The angle of the bend looks different than yours. So maybe yours is for a non-console.
Thanks for the picture and youre right. The bend in yours looks like it is less than 90 degrees. I will measure mine tomorrow for length.
But now the question is if the bend in yours is correct for a console and both of mine are a different, then why is one longer than the other. Bench seat vs bucket seats?

That would be great if you could post those. Thanks!

I still think the difference would be that one is an a-body and one is a b-body. Or maybe they're not mopar at all.

My measurements turn 9 1/2" for the short one and about 12 1/2" for the long one.

Longer Inland shifter is B Body and the shorter is for an A with a console
You mean without console?? Refering to the picture uwg posted in the 2nd post of this thread??
That shorter shifted does not look like the with console one Nicksgarage posted
