Any issues wanting to use the nicer manifolds on a 1970 chrysler 300 wagon? Was originally a 383 car but now has a 440 and before the custom exhaust gets done, wanted better manifolds since no one makes decent affordable quality headers for it. Thanks

I don't think there would be any issues, but I haven't done that swap. The '70 rt side manifold flange where the exhaust pipe attaches has the 2 bolt locations rotated to a different position than the '68-'69, and the left side has a provision for intake heat on the '70 that the earlier ones don't.

I heard the Hedman shorties work on a C-body. I believe the p/n is 78070. $167.99 at Jegs. C-body Dry Dock guys could confirm. These may be an alternate solution.

I think you may be better off with some factory HP manifolds with a nice durable finsh on them.

Thanks for the responses. The headers we've found to date are pretty cheap/universal and we can't afford custom headers to so we are trying to stick with the freer flowing factory manifolds. Sounds like the 1970's might be better but may be more pricey.

thats all you need since passenger side is same as a b or e body.

Hedman shorties work well on a c body. You need the small starter though.
Any pass manifold will work.Drivers side is C body specific.Outlet position may vary from year to year but will work.

The 69-71 C-body HP manifold is specially-curved to fit around the steering column and the rubber coupler. Although the 67-68 B-manifold fits on the driverside of a Slabside, I'd be skeptical how well a B-manifold would fit on a Fusey.

Teh Fusey also lists different manifolds between 383 and 440 whereas it didn't in earlier years IIRC. Might be related.

If it were me, I'd give the Hedman shorties a try. I have them on a 68 and I love them!
