fine. flow will be _slightly_ decreased over a larger bore due to slightly more shrouding. would be more pronounced the bigger the valve (say, a 2.08 over a mag sized 1.92 or 2.02)

IMHO the only reason to do a 318 stroker is to use a pretty common '85-91 318 roller cam block, and use a hydraulic roller cam and stock roller lifters. otherwise, you're just giving up 18-34 cubes.

I'm running a 318 stroker with Eddy heads. K1 4" crank (makes 390cid), Eagle rods, Ross pistons, out of the box Eddy's, HS rockers, Comp cam .540/.555 252/262 @.050, Air Gap Intake, 750 gas carb.

I mainly built it because I picked up the pistons really cheap and you can find 318s all day long.

With TTI headers, full exhaust and quiet mufflers, 3.91 gear posi in 8 3/4, 26x10 slicks, 727 with 9.5" Dynamic converter, full interior, stock gas tank completely full to help push the fuel to the mechanical fuel pump. I think the car weighs 3,300lbs, can remember but we weighed in early spring.

It ran a new best this past weekend, 11.35 at 117mph and on the brakes (still broke out...) Shifting at 5,700rpm.

Because the 318 blocks are so plentiful just grab a standard bore block with caps that looks good, with minimum ridge and sonic that.Limit your overbore to 30 thou to keep the walls as thick as possible.318's are at no disadvantage in wall thickness compared to the other displacements in the family.
