How would an LD340 intake work with this cam?

I have noticed a serious downward slide of the quality of our gasoline which you may or may not have to deal with "up there"...you using pump gas? If so, it just don't wanna burn! My last van - 360/TQ/'79 case in point. Took a carb from my 440, it was not rich enough. Jetted it once and even had to go to smaller rods after that, it finally ran after 3 changes. Only explanation= it's about 80% actual fuel and the rest is some recipie if you ask me. No way that carb was too lean for a stock 360.

What do you guys think would be the best head choice for this cam plus an LD340 intake? 'X' heads? 'J' heads? Eddy RPM aluminums? Would aDemon 750 carb be too much? Thanks!

Ok for the purple cam what about springs,retainers and keepers what is recomended,I have 901 comp springs and retainers in my 318 heades can i use them in my 340 j heads.
