My rebuilt 440-6 is sucking in oil at the lower intake port side. oil in intake manifold and on top of intake valves?

Need to mill the org alu 6pak manifold to seal against the port side of heads.

Block decked 0,024"
Heads shaved 0,016"
Total 0,040"

Use felpro 0,039" head gasket
Org steel gasket 0,020" head gasket
Total extra height 0,019"

So I figure 0,040" milled
thicker head gasket + 0,019"

So total milled surface is 0,021"

Put intake valley pan back with 0,016" gasket at lower side on intake on each side, Tighten everything up and tried to get a 0,002" shim in at top of intake.very tight.

So I was thinking taking of 0,014" on each side, at the TOP side of manifold, and 0" at LOWER side at the intake, and would end up with 0,014" egual to head surface.
Making or buying intake gaskets 2 pc 0,014" thick.

Need your advice and input on this before milling.

I'd check that the angle of the intake and the angle of the head intake face is the same (& flat)& in addition mill enough so the intake ports end up being perfectly aligned with the head ports.

For every .010 taken off the head surface if you would have .0123 taken off the intake side of the head you wouldn't have to touch the intake.

This is the right way to do it then there wouldn't be so many intakes floating around with the bolt holes ovaled out/cracked or cut to fit that specific combo making it useless for others...
