I have a 73 440 in my 64 polara. The car is equiped with power steering but when I bought the motor it didn't have the pump or brackets needed for the pump. I riggged up a unit from a 60's truck but it has given me problems since day one. It has developed a major leak and I want to put something closer to original on it.Can any one show me pictures of what I need or supply part numbers? Thanks.

This would be so much easier if I knew what I was doing...

I can show you a pic of mine when I get home tonight, mine's a 76 440. Mine's got the federal pump on it. If you're putting together a pump from scratch I recommend you go with the saginaw pump instead. Just so much easier to find parts(brackets, hoses, pumps, pump caps, etc) for the saginaw setups than the federals.

here is a higher mount set up, go to 440source.com for brackets.

Those are federal pumnps... saginaw brackets are diff but fits on same places at block/water pump housing.

The higher mounting kind is for cars with water pump inlet on driver side ( pre 72 )
