Old Ray did alot crazy stuff in the old days...I passed him on the way to Edgewater Raceway on old Rt.23 and Slim and him were leaning over the fenders of his old white 68'AA car adjusting the valves while going down the road at 55-60mph...This was on an open trailer... When I got to the track I asked him why he was doing that, he told me he was just getting it back together and he wanted all his time trials....How one of those highway patrol cars we passed didn't get him was beyond me..

so, im just wondering...

what size back tires are you SS/AH guys running, or what are they allowed to run?

what type of suspension, front suspension etc.

what do these cars weigh?

are 67's legal if we were to put a barton motor in it, and build it to the rule books, or is it limited only to 68's which were the factory SS cars?

im talking about a 'cuda here...

ill post up pics of mine cleaned up, and outside today after i do some washing on it!

these cars are amazing!

man lil joe could use some orange on that king cuda..lol..hey jeff that's cool you made some shake down runs before going wide open.i made my 3rd pass ever at the dutch then crashed my dad's first car on the 9th pass in the car.so i know the jitters.even though i had no control of that i heard i can't drive.the car will go back together after we get dad's cuda ready.but i think all this ah crap is gay and you'll find that people who you think are your friends really aren't.all that matters is what goes down at the track not on this keypad race.

Travis, we were at the Dutch when you had your accident. We thought you did a great job for the first time in a beast like that. I have not met any driver yet who knows how to drive with oil on the tires. You did a great job that weekend.

I'll second that. its alot easier to talk a big game than it is to do it. I remember when we went to belle rose last year with Woo, he hadnt even made a licence pass yet, hadnt raced in 20 years, and his fist full pass was a 8.67. pretty good for a shakedown pass. A good motor makes up for alot of other shortcomings.

Just took my motor off the dyno this morning, its in the car, and we are getting ready for the vegas trip. I sent henson his motor friday. we will be well represented at MATS. Rains, Woo, Henson, and both of our cars. should be interesting.

Just wanted to let everybody that is heading to Vegas, bring your own gas or make connections with this VP company and they will bring you some, VP will NOT be at the track cause of the Torco contract.
WE (MATS) bought a NHRA gas checker so all fuel will be checked by Wesley after each run.
Hope to see whom ever at Vegas, I'll be there Weds to Weds with my folks and son, should be a wonderful week for us as my mother is part of the 40th anniversary of the 68 Hemi cars.

Here is the VP contact:
